ALA/SLA Licensing Renewal FAQs
Q. Why is a Novell Partner contacting me
about my ALA/SLA renewal? I have always dealt directly with
Novell.
A. Novell is committed to making
sure that all customers have the best support possible for
the Novell products they license and own. To that end, Novell
has assigned certified Novell Academic Partners, such as Uptime,
to each academic customer's account. We are here to help you
with your ALA/SLA licensing and answer any questions or concerns
you may have regarding your Novell products.
Q. What can Uptime provide regarding my renewal?
A. As a certified Novell Academic
Partner we can:
- review your system and your business goals,
- ensure that your Novell products are in alignment with
those goals,
- discuss any new products that might benefit your system,
and
- work with you to process your renewals!
Q. Do I purchase my ALA/SLA through Uptime?
A. No. The PO is still issued
to Novell. However, Uptime will fill out your ALA/SLA worksheet
based on the information you provide regarding FTE/Student
enrollment numbers. We will also address any products you want
to add or subtract. We will then email you the worksheet along
with instructions for processing the order.
Q. Sounds like Uptime is doing a lot of work.
Do I need to pay for this service?
A. No. We are reimbursed by
Novell for the time we take working with you on your renewal.
There is no cost to you.
Q. How do I get started?
A. Simply call us at 610.621.1244
or email us at info@uptimenmi.com. We will be glad to schedule
your Licensing Renewal Review appointment today! |
